The oldest grain of all to have survived to our time. Farro, Emmer wheat, is an unhybridized grain belonging to the wheat family. Rich in fiber, carbohydrates and calcium, this grain becomes a complete protein source when combined with legumes.
Farro can be enjoyed in cracked and whole form. Emmer wheat has a satisfyin texture, with a dark nutty flavor and overall great taste. Many people who are wheat sensitive can eat farro due to its low gluten content. And of course Etruria’s Emmer Wheat have been granted the seal of certified organic by both the US and the EU for their care for their products in our environment.
